Rishabh Pant scored 99 runs in India’s second innings in the IND vs NZ Bengaluru test.

Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant led India’s charge in the first two sessions on day 4 of the IND vs NZ 1st test that is being played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The duo stitched a highly entertaining fourth-wicket partnership of 177 runs off 211 balls that saw India take the lead. This stand included cracking shots from both the batsmen as they tore into the Kiwi bowling attack.

Sarfaraz made 150 off 195 balls with 18 fours and three sixes. But Pant missed his century by only one run, getting out on 99, bowled off William O’Rourke.

During his 105-ball stay, Pant blasted nine fours and five sixes. One of those sixes hit the roof of the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium and was measured to be 107 meters. That he did it while he was on 90* is simply audacious.

Pant went after New Zealand’s most experienced bowler in this attack, Tim Southee, and slogged a full delivery from Southee on the leg side. The connection was so sweet that the ball flew over all the fans and crashed into the roof of the stadium.
