Indian wicket-keeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is slowly moving towards full fitness.

Rishabh Pant celebrated his 26th birthday today October 4, 2023. The keeper-batter celebrated it with his Delhi Capitals and India team friends Axar Patel and Prithvi Shaw at the NCA in Bengaluru.

The talented cricketer has been out of action since December 2022 due to the aftermath of his car accident. Pant underwent surgery in addition to receiving medical attention in a hospital in Mumbai, where was flown in from Dehradun by BCCI. He took a few weeks to rest at home and began his rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore under the supervision of BCCI experts.

He has been putting in a lot of effort to regain his match fitness for the NCA. In August in Bengaluru, he had returned to the pitch for an exhibition game. He has been demonstrating his progress towards his objective of returning to international cricket and representing India once more through social media videos.

Before becoming 26 years old, Rishabh Pant traveled to Uttarakhand to pray at the revered Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines.

Axar Patel and Prithvi Shaw celebrate Rishabh Pant’s birthday at the NCA

Rishabh Pant wasn’t alone when he celebrated his 26th birthday as he had his India and Delhi Capitals teammates Axar Patel and Prithvi Shaw with him. Axar Patel missed out on the opportunity to play in the World Cup 2023 due to a quad injury. Shaw, on the other hand, suffered an MCL and ACL tear during his County Cricket stint and is rehabbing in NCA.

On Tuesday, he cut his birthday cakes with fellow Indian and Delhi Capitals cricketers, Prithvi Shaw and Axar Patel, and a few NCA staff, including Nitin Patel, former Team India physiotherapist. As birthdays are celebrated in the Indian dressing room, Axar and Prithvi followed the same way and smeared the cake all over Pant’s face.
