Rishabh Pant got to his seventh test century with a massive six.

Indian Cricket Team keeper-batter Rishabh Pant stole the limelight with his brilliant innings in the first test of the five-match test series against the England Cricket Team. The game between the two teams is underway at Headingley in Leeds.

After a marvellous centuries by Yashasvi Jaiswal (101) and Shubman Gill (147), Rishabh Pant became the third centurion for India in the ongoing game against England. The keeper-batter walked out to bat at five and made sure that he started on a dominating note. He stepped on the second ball that he faced and hit it for a boundary.

Rishabh Pant batted with an aggressive mindset throughout his innings as he kept giving mini heart attacks to both his team and the opposition. He slammed a gorgeous half-century on day one and was unbeaten at 66 at stumps.

However, he started the day two from where he left off on day one as he continued hitting the England bowlers all over the park. The keeper-batter, along with skipper Shubman Gill, put England on the back foot as India went past 400 runs on the board with ease.

Rishabh Pant slammed his seventh ton in test cricket as he reached the milestone in just 146 balls. With this ton, he also broke MS Dhoni’s record of Indian wicket-keeper batters with most tons in the longest format of the game.

Rishabh Pant, who was recently appointed as the vice-captain, has taken the role perfectly. He arguably has been India’s best batter in the longest format of the game over the last few years. With him slamming a ton, it comes as a big positive for India with four games more to go in the series.
