Rishabh Pant scored more than 400 runs with two tons in four tests on the England tour.
India wicket-keeper-batter Rishabh Pant, whose England series ended after the fourth test after he fractured his toe thanks to a yorker from Chris Woakes, shared an amazing message for the Indian team after their win in The Oval test.
Pant had been amazing with the bat with over 400 runs in four tests and twin centuries in one test. He was catching up on the see-saw fifth and final test between India and England at the Oval.
At The Oval in London, India managed to win by six runs after defending 374 in the last innings of a match played by extremely narrow margins. At one point, England were dominating thanks to centuries by Harry Brook and Joe Root, and their 195-run partnership as they galloped towards the target.
But Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna’s tenacious work brought India back into the match. India ended day four with England needing 35 more runs and India needing four wickets. On day five, England took the heavy roller and were expected to reach the target in no time, but then Mohammed Siraj happened, and he and Prasidh Krishna routed the England tail for 367 runs.
