Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has been in recovery at NCA in Bengaluru.

Rishabh Pant, the injured India keeper-batter, has given a new update on his ongoing journey to recovery at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru as he shared an image of himself about to hit the gym.

Last year, while driving from Delhi to Roorkee to surprise his mother, Rishabh Pant was involved in a terrible automobile accident. Despite this, the Indian wicket-keeper batter is making a full recovery.

On December 30 of last year, Pant's car collided with a divider on the interstate leading to Uttarakhand and even took fire. Before the automobile caught fire, he was saved by onlookers after breaking the window's glass to crawl out of the crash.

He was then right away taken to a neighboring hospital in Dehradun, where he underwent plastic surgery to conceal his scars and receive treatment for his burns.

He was then airlifted to the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai by the BCCI, where he underwent surgery on his right knee to repair some previous damage and recent injury.

After being released from the hospital, he has since healed there. After making significant progress, he moved to the NCA to continue working on his fitness under the direction of BCCI physicians.

A Grateful heart is the best kind to have: Rishabh Pant

Since then, Rishabh Pant has made a brilliant recovery as he first was able to walk without any crutches which he had been using previously. Pant had used the crutches when he visited the Arun Jaitley stadium to cheer for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2023, his first public appearance since his accident.

He also was recently seen climbing the stair without any support, evidence of his knee being in good shape.

And now, he shared an image on Instagram of himself about to hit the gym with the caption reading: “A Grateful heart is the best kind to have”

Meanwhile, despite his faster-than-expected recovery, Rishabh Pant will miss the Asia Cup 2023 and the World Cup 2023 as well, though the BCCI is doing its best to get him match-ready in time for the ICC event.
