"It pains the same..."- Rishabh Pant shares a colossal update on his foot injury

Rishabh Pant shared a motivational post on Instagram amid his foot injury.

Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant shared an update on his foot injury. The left-handed batsman is in the recovery process after he sustained a foot fracture during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025.

Pant was hit by Chris Woakes’ delivery on his foot while batting in the fourth test in Manchester. Later, it was revealed he sustained a foot fracture and was ruled out of the fifth test at The Oval. With two centuries and three half-centuries, Pant showed a wonderful form in the series, scoring 479 runs in seven innings.

Notably, despite the foot injury, Pant came out to bat in the first innings of the Manchester test. He was given a standing ovation by the crowd at the stadium for his brave act. In the fifth test, he was replaced by Dhruv Jurel in the playing XI.

On Thursday (August 21), the wicket-keeper batter shared a post on Instagram and gave an update about his foot injury. Pant went on a trip to the beach while battling with his injury. He also shared a motivation post on Instagram.

“Just wanna tell you one thing which I understand is doesn’t matter how much pain you have endured in past if you get hurt again it pains the same that’s for sure . just the threshold goes up and you know the process to keep pushing yourself,” he wrote.

“So being positive is massive , motivating yourself works a lot . Keep trusting your self and keep working in the direction you wanna take your life because what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger eventually,” he added.

Meanwhile, Pant is not part of Asia Cup 2025 due to his foot injury. He is expected to be fit ahead of the home test series against the West Indies in October. Under skipper Suryakumar Yadav, India will be busy in Asia Cup 2025 in September. In May, Pant was appointed as the new test vice-captain of India.
