Rishabh Pant will be seen in action in the upcoming home test series against Bangladesh.

Rishabh Pant made his comeback to the Indian ODI and T20I teams this year after his car injury. Now, he will be back in whites in the coming home series against Bangladesh, starting on September 19.

Pant has established himself as one of the most destructive wicketkeeper batters in modern-day cricket, and is known for playing an aggressive brand of cricket.

The 25-year-old believes in a high-risk high-reward approach, which has given him plenty of success at the international level. Recently, he appeared on Tanmay Bhat’s YouTube channel and talked about various things. Pant also took a cheeky dig at England’s Bazball method and the hype surrounding it.

Since Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum took over the control of the England test team, they adopted an attacking brand of cricket. That has given them significant success as they have lost only one test series, in India, so far. Pant, also known for a similar approach, came up with a cheeky remark on England.

When asked about his aggressive approach by Tanmay Bhat, Pant gave a hilarious reply. He said, “Abhi Bazball dekh rahe ho toh maza aa raha hai. Jab mein pehle kar raha tha toh acha nahi lag raha tha kya? (When you see Bazball, you enjoy it. But didn’t you like it when I did it earlier?)

Earlier, when England toured India for a test series, Ben Duckett made an interesting remark on India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal after the young Indian batter slammed a double century. Duckett had said that Jaiswal had learned such style of batting through England’s Bazball. Duckett faced a lot of backlash for making such a remark.

Meanwhile, with the return of Rishabh Pant to the test squad, Indian batting will be strengthened further, as he is the only left-hander in the middle-order. His inclusion will be important as India are set to tour Australia later this year for a five-match test series.
