Rishabh Pant is leading India in second IND vs SA test in the absence of Shubman Gill.

Indian Cricket Team stand-in captain Rishabh Pant has been made to work hard on his first game as a test captain as the South Africa Cricket Team have posed some tough questions with the bat. The second match of the series between the teams is taking place at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. 

South Africa, batting first after winning the toss, have shown a magical effort with the bat. After they lost six wickets on day one, it was expected that India would wrap up their innings quickly on day two. But that wasn’t the case as Senuran Muthusamy has taken the game away from India. 

The all-rounder has hardly put a foot wrong in his innings as he slammed a flawless century. India captain Rishabh Pant has been made to look clueless as well and his team has managed just one wicket on day two so far. 

With nothing going in India’s way, Rishabh Pant was seen yelling at Kuldeep Yadav, who looked rusty and had already received a warning for breaching the 60-second rule. This made Pant angry and he was caught saying on the stump-mic.

“Yaar, 30 seconds ka timer hai. Ghar pe khel rahe ho kya? Ek ball daal jaldi. (The timer is on. Are you playing at your home? Just bowl the ball quickly.”

Under ICC playing conditions, the fielding side must begin a new over within 60 seconds of the previous one finishing. Not only this, Pant also lashed out at others and was heard saying “Mazak bana rakha hai Test cricket ko”.

The win is a must for India to avoid a series defeat as they lost the opening game by 30 runs. They faced a lot of criticism and even if they lose here, this will mark the second series loss for them at home in the last one year, having lost to New Zealand 3-0 last year.
