Riyan Parag slammed three fifties for India A in the unofficial One-Day series against Australia A.

Indian Cricket Team all-rounder Riyan Parag took a subtle dig at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Indian selection committee following his sub for the Australia tour. The all-rounder wasn’t named in the Indian side for the three-match ODI and five-match T20I series.

Riyan Parag’s comments came following his heroics in the unofficial One-Day series between India A and Australia A. The all-rounder was one of the major reasons behind the Shreyas Iyer-led side winning the three-match series by a margin of 2-1.

Riyan Parag was sensational with the bat in the unofficial One-Day series as he slammed three consecutive half-centuries in three games. In the first game, he slammed 67 runs off 42 balls with the help of five boundaries and five sixes.

In the second match, Parag slammed 58 runs off 54 balls with the help of six boundaries and one six. He got an opportunity to bowl in that game as well. Although, he didn’t get wickets, he was economical, giving 12 runs in the two overs that he bowled.

In the last match, which was a series decider, Riyan Parag again oozed his class. He slammed a magical fifty while chasing 318. The all-rounder scored 62 runs off 55 balls with the help of five boundaries and three sixes, batting with a strike rate of over 112.

Overall in the series, Riyan Parag scored 187 runs in three games at an average of 62.33. Thanks to his heroics with the bat, he was awarded Player of the Series award. His performances surely would have been noticed by the Indian selectors and he might be in the mix for the future series.
