Rohit Sharma scored 56 runs in 49 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes against Pakistan in Asia Cup 2023 Super Four clash.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma had a wonderful game against Pakistan pacers but it all went in vain as rain didn’t allow the game to progress after the 24th over. Two heavy spells of showers prompted the umpires to take the game on reserve day. Despite no full game in Colombo, Indian captain Rohit Sharma has completed a special milestone in his playing career. Rohit had a wonderful opening stand along with his opening partner Shubman Gill and added 121 runs for the first wicket in 16 overs. Rohit scored 56 runs in 49 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes in his innings.
Rohit Sharma hits 50th ODI half-century
This was Rohit Sharma’s 50th half-century in ODI cricket. He has now become the 8th Indian and 30th overall batter to complete this milestone and score fifty to half-centuries in his 16-years-long playing career so far. This was his 80th fifty-plus score in the One-day internationals as well. He has scored 30 ODI centuries and 50 half-centuries. Rohit with this innings has also joined the special club of Indian players to have scored 50 or more half-centuries in their career.
