Rohit Sharma now has 352 sixes to his name in ODI cricket.
India is playing South Africa in their first ODI on November 30 in Ranchi. Once again losing the toss, the Men in Blue will have to bat first in the contest. Numerous changes have been made to the Indian team’s starting lineup for the match. The pitch conditions seem to be ideal for both bowlers and batsmen, making the game even more exciting to watch.
Aiden Markram, who is captaining South Africa in Temba Bavuma’s absence, won the toss against Indian stand-in captain KL Rahul. Because of the evening’s dew, the South African captain decided to bowl first.
India brought back Ruturaj Gaikwad in the ODI mix, with KL Rahul taking the keeping gloves instead of Rishabh Pant. India also played three spinners in Washington Sundar, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav. Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, and Harshit Rana are the three pacers.
Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal opened the innings for India, adding 25 runs before Jaiswal fell for 18 runs with two fours and one six to his name.

Rohit Sharma was then joined by Virat Kohli in the middle, and the two stalwarts of Indian cricket took the attack to South African bowlers and scored their respective half-centuries in quick time and adding more than 100 runs in the ongoing partnership, their second in two matches.
Rohit Sharma made 57 in 51 balls with five fours and 3 sixes before being dismissed LBW by Marco Jansen in 21.2 overs with India on 161 runs.
Before his dismissal, Rohit Sharma had broken the record for most sixes in ODI cricket. He came into the match with 349 sixes to his name, just behind Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi. However, he attained the record with two sixes off spinner Prenalen Subrayen to get to the 351 six mark, and then went past Shahid Afridi with a six off Marco Jansen.
