The Indian Cricket Team has faced scrutiny in the media following their recent struggle in test cricket. The team had a tough run in the latter half of 2024, suffering 0-3 home test series whitewash against New Zealand, followed by a 1-3 defeat in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 in Australia.
The poor results have sparked discussions about the future of several experienced players, including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja, with some suggesting that the team may need a complete overhaul in the format.
In a recent development, several media outlets reported that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued a 10-point guideline for Indian players, outlining a clear set of dos and don’ts.
The reported diktat included several restrictions, such as a baggage limit for tours and limited involvement of players’ wives and families on tours.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has now responded to the development in an press conference along side chief selector Ajit Agarkar.

The Indian skipper dismissed the issue of such a rule, asking the reporter where he had read that, and emphasized that no such communication had been issued by the BCCI yet.
Rohit said, “Who told you about these rules? Has it come from the official handle of the BCCI? Let it come officially,”
