Rohit Sharma is gearing up for the ODI series against South Africa.

Indian Cricket Team opener Rohit Sharma never fails to impress fans with his lively personality and fun-loving attitude. The right-handed batsman is pulling his socks up for the ODI series against South Africa, which will commence on November 30. Ahead of the campaign, he won the hearts of many fans with his lovely gesture for a newly-wed couple.

The 38-year-old last featured in the ODI series against Australia last month, where he scored a half-century and a ton across three games. With his unbeaten 121 runs in the third ODI in Sydney, he helped India avoid a whitewash in the three-match series and clinched the Player of the Match as well as the Player of the Series award.

Rohit Sharma finished as the highest run-scorer with 202 runs during the campaign and after that also jumped to the top spot in the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) rankings for ODI batsmen, achieving the feat for the first time in his career.

A video of Sharma is going viral on social media, in which he came up with a heart-warming gesture for a newly engaged couple. As the couple were doing their wedding photoshoot, Rohit saw them and played the famous Bollywood song “Aaj mere yaar hi shaadi hai”.

The former Indian captain also performed some dancing moves while working out. The surprised couple called it “once in a lifetime moment”. His heartwarming gesture was loved by fans on the micro-blogging platform X (formerly Twitter).

Meanwhile, Rohit will be looking forward to another magnificent stint against South Africa, which will witness three ODI games from November 30 to December 6. He is currently training in Mumbai for the campaign.

Ahead of the ODI series, both sides will clash in two tests starting November 14. Rohit, who announced from test cricket earlier this year, is only active in ODIs and his next focus is to play in ICC Cricket World Cup 2027.
