Indian Cricket Team batter Rohit Sharma is plying his trade for Mumbai in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26. In round 2 of the domestic one-day tournament on Friday, December 26, the right-handed batsman bagged a golden duck in the clash against Uttarakhand.

The clash between Mumbai and Uttarakhand got underway at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Friday, December 26. Uttarakhand won the toss and opted to bowl first. For Mumbai, Rohit and Angkrish Raghuvanshi opened the batting and were expected to set the stage on fire, but that wasn’t the case.

On his very first delivery of pacer Devendra Singh Bora in the first over, Rohit played a pull in an attempt to smack a big shot but was caught by Jagmohan Nagarkoti near the boundary. The veteran Indian batter failed to replicate his performance from the previous game, where he scored a century.

Many fans arrived at the stadium to watch Rohit play in the match. However, they were disappointed as the former Indian captain got out cheaply in the clash. Some fans shared the video of his dismissal on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Have a look at the video below.

Meanwhile, the 38-year-old smacked a wonderful century in Mumbai’s opening game against Sikkim on December 24. He hit 155 runs off 94 deliveries, smacking 18 fours and nine sixes. With his marvellous ton, Sharma also helped Mumbai to chase down a 237-run target by eight wickets.

The 38-year-old has been in amazing form in recent times. In the previous ODI series against South Africa, he slammed two half-centuries across three matches, playing a key role in India’s 2-1 victory in the campaign. In the ODI series against Australia in October, he won the Player of the series award, smacking 202 runs in three games including a half-century and an unbeaten century.
