Rohit Sharma was named Player of the Match in ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final.

Rohit Sharma‘s match-winning knock against New Zealand in the final of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has helped him climb to the third spot with 756 rating in the latest update of ICC ODI batting rankings.

Chasing 252, Rohit gave India a solid start, scoring 76 off 83 balls. His innings allowed the middle-order batsmen to take their time on the sluggish wicket to build their innings.

Despite an underwhelming performance in the last three games of the tournament, Shubman Gill remains at the top of the batting charts with 784 rating points, followed by Babar Azam with 770 rating points.

Failure in the final means Virat Kohli has dropped to fifth position in the rankings, while Shreyas Iyer has retained his No. 8 spot. South Africa’s Heinrich Klaasen is now ranked fourth.

Spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja have been rewarded for their excellent performance in the competition, ranking third and tenth respectively in the ICC ODI bowling rankings.

Mitchell Santner is ranked second on the ODI bowlers’ list, moving up six places after taking nine wickets in the tournament at an economy rate of 4.80. He is also fourth in the ODI all-rounders’ rankings.

Santner’s teammate Michael Bracewell holds the seventh spot in the all-rounders’ rankings. His quickfire half-century in the final gave New Zealand a late surge, helping them reach 251.

Champions Trophy 2025 Player of the Tournament, Rachin Ravindra, jumped 14 places to 14th in the ODI batters’ rankings and moved up eight places to eighth in the all-rounders’ rankings.

Indian seamer Mohammed Shami has moved up three spots to 11th with his nine wickets in the tournament, while South Africa’s Marco Jansen climbed nine spots to 18th after taking four wickets.
