Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer slammed fifties for India in the second ODI against Australia in Adelaide.
Indian Cricket Team batter Rohit Sharma had a decent outing with the bat in the second ODI against the Australian Cricket Team. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide on Thursday, October 23.
Rohit, who scored eight runs in the first game in Perth, struggled initially in his innings as Josh Hazlewood was all over him. The batter struggled to time the ball and also took a lot of body blows with Australia appealing many times for lbw.
However, he came up with the gritty effort and ensured that he got through the struggling phase. Once he was out of that shell, he counted on the start that he had and played some glorious shots, bailing his team out of trouble along with Shreyas Iyer.
Rohit and Shreyas batted brilliantly, especially after India lost two wickets early. Both batters complemented each other well and accelerated the scoreboard with their 118-run partnership for the third wicket under pressure.

The communication was key in their partnership and it also witnessed classic Rohit on the stump mic as he was heard telling Iyer to take the call on a single. Here is how the conversation unfolded:
Rohit: “Aae Shreyas, hoyega yeh! (There was a run).”
Iyer: “Arrey aap karke dekho, mere ko mat bolna fir (Don’t blame me later).”
Rohit: “Aare, tereko call dena padega (You will have to give me the call).”
Rohit: “Wo saatva over daal raha hai yaar (He’s bowling the seventh over, man).”
Iyer: “Mujhe uska angle pata nahi hai. Call do na! (I don’t know his angle. Just give me the call).”
Rohit: “Mai nahi de sakta hu ye call (I can’t).”
Iyer: “Saamne hai aapke (He’s right in front of you).”
