Rohit Sharma was spotted throwing his cap in dressing room after Sarfaraz Khan got run out.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma showed his frustration in the Indian dressing room after debutant batter Sarfaraz Khan was run out at the non-striker’s end on day 1 of the ongoing third test match between India and England at Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.
The incident happened during the 82nd over of the first innings when James Anderson was bowling to Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who was batting 99. Jadeja hit the ball towards the midfielder region and Sarfaraz, who was at the non-striker’s end, was looking to take a single.
However, Jadeja turned down the single after taking initial steps, but it was too late for the debutant, Sarfaraz Khan, who responded to Jadeja and ran back to the non-striker’s end, where English fielder Mark Wood aimed and hit the stumps easily. However in the very next ball Jadeja completed his century, which was his fourth in test cricket.
Sarfaraz, who was batting brilliantly, was also seen disappointed at his unlucky dismissal, as was captain Rohit Sharma, who lost his cool in the dressing room and was seen taking off his cap and throwing it away in anger. Eventually the, debutant scored 62 runs off 66 balls and his innings consisted of nine boundaries and one six.

The 26-year-old Sarfaraz, who got his maiden India debut test cap from legendary cricketer Anil Kumble, showed why he is rated as one of the best batters in the Indian domestic circuit currently.
Sarfaraz looked in great touch during his stay as he slammed the fastest fifty for India by a debutant in test cricket. The right-handed batter reached his half-century on the 48th delivery and broke Hardik Pandya’s record. Pandya hit a 49-ball fifty against Sri Lanka on his test debut in 2017.
