Kuldeep Yadav trapped Tanzid Hasan to get India's first breakthrough in the game.

India and Bangladesh clashed in the 17th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the MCA Stadium in Pune. This match is being played on October 19, 2023. India has won all three of its matches thus far, but Bangladesh came into this match on the back of two consecutive defeats.

They also suffered a huge blow as captain Shakib Al Hasan could recover in time for this crunch match and hence Najmul Hossain Shanto led the side in his absence. He won the toss and chose to bat first. Hasan Mahmud and Nasum Ahmed came into the team for Taskin Ahmed and Shakib respectively.

After settling in on a pitch that was favorable to batting, openers Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das opened up. the openers took command shortly as they added 93 runs in 14.1 overs. Tanzid Hasan made 51 and Litton Das scored 66 runs.

India was looking for wickets and Rohit Sharma had tried everything from bringing Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj and even giving Hardik Pandya a go.

Finally, the drinks break happened and the Indian team gathered to refresh themselves. Rohit stood in the middle of the huddle and with the team surrounding him, gave all a pep talk while telling them not to lose hope and keep their energy levels high.

Soon after this pep talk, Kuldeep struck. He got Tanzid Hasan LBW as the left-hander tried to sweep him and missed the ball which hit him straight flush in front of the stumps. Litton Das dissuaded Tanzid from taking the DRS review.

Replay showed that the ball hit him in front of the stumps and would have hit the middle and the off stumps. Tanzid hit 51 in 43 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes.
