The ICC WTC 2023-25 final, SA vs AUS, is well poised to conclude on day 4.

The South Africa Cricket Team and the Australia Cricket Team are clashing with each other in the final of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25. The ‘Home of Cricket,’ Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, is hosting the summit clash.

Day three, which is known as the moving day of the test match, lived up to the expectations as South Africa almost put one step past the finishing line in the race for the ICC WTC 2023-25 final win. The Proteas displayed a blistering batting effort that put Australia on the back foot.

Australia, who were at 144/8 with a lead of 218 at stumps of day two, had a decent start to the day three with Mitchell Starc (58*) slamming a brilliant half-century. Thanks to his innings, the defending champions posted a total of 207 runs in the second innings, setting a target of 282 runs.

On what was a good batting day, Aiden Markram then oozed his class with the bat in the chase. The opening batter slammed a brilliant century to keep South Africa in the hunt. He was well supported by skipper Temba Bavuma as the duo almost took the game away from the opposition.

Aiden Markram stayed unbeaten at 102 runs off 159 balls, while Temba Bavuma slammed 65*. The duo added unbeaten 143 runs for the third wicket as South Africa ended day three with 213 for two, needing 69 runs more to win their maiden ICC WTC title.
