SA20 2024: Points table, most runs, most wickets, after Match 7 DSG vs JSK

Durban’s Super Giants have defeated Joburg Super Kings by 37 runs in the SA20 2024 League game.

In the seventh match of the ongoing SA20 league, Durban’s Super Giants emerged victorious, defeating Joburg Super Kings by 37 runs at a game held at Durban. Durban’s Super Giants, opting to bat first, posted a total of 145/8 in their 20 overs, with Heinrich Klaasen leading the charge with an impressive 64 off 41 balls. Lizaad Williams was the pick of the bowlers for Joburg Super Kings, claiming four wickets for 26 runs.

In response, Joburg Super Kings struggled to chase down the target, finishing at 108/9 in 20 overs. Reeza Hendricks was the top-scorer with 38 runs, but Reece Topley’s three-wicket haul and JJ Smuts’ all-round performance restricted the opposition. Durban’s Super Giants’ bowlers showcased a collective effort, and the team successfully defended their total, securing a convincing win.

Durban Super Giants continue to dominate the second season of SA20. They have won three out of three games played and are at the top of the table with points and three wins. Joburg Super Kings haven’t started he way they would have liked they registered their second loss of the season and are now at the fifth position with two points in three games. Paarl Royals are placed second on the points table with eight points and have won both the games they have played so far. MI Cape Town are placed third with five points in two games. MI Cape Town lost their first match against DSG but registered a win in their second match against JSK. Sunrisers Eastern Cape are placed fourth in the table with two points in two games. Pretoria Capitals are at the bottom of the table with zero points.

SA20 2024: Most Runs

MI Cape Town’s Ryan Rickelton is still leading the leading run-scorer chart in SA20 2024 season. Rickelton has scored 185 runs in two innings. Durban Super Giants wicket-keeper Heinrich Klaasen is second is the list with 162 runs in three innings. Klaasen scored 64 runs for Durban against Johannesburg Super Kings. MI Cape Town’s Rassie Van der Dussen is the third in the leading run-scorer list with 128 runs in two innings. Paarl Royals skipper David Miller is fourth with 116 runs. Pretoria Capitals Rilee Rossouw is fifth with 111 runs in two innings.
