Sachin Tendulkar gifts his 2011 World Cup jersey to Virat Kohli with a special message

It was signed by master blaster Sachin Tendulkar himself. Sachin also wrote a special message: “Virat, you made us proud.” Virat was posing with the gifted jersey as he was presented before the toss.

Virat, with his century against New Zealand at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, became the leading batter with the most number of ODI centuries. He overtook Sachin’s 49 and became the first one to score the 50th ODI century. Virat Kohli overtook Sachin in the semi-final game.
Virat Kohli became the first-ever batter to score more than 700 runs in one ODI cricket World Cup edition. Sachin Tendulkar was impressed with Virat Kohli’s consistency in the format and said that he is proud of Virat Kohli for the kind of player he has become. Virat Kohli shared Indian dressing room with Sachin Tendulkar for five years. Virat Kohli has smashed three centuries in the ongoing World Cup 2023.
