Sachin Tendulkar congratulates India on X after win at Edgbaston
Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar took to X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate India for the victory at Edgbaston. He also heaped praise on players for their amazing performance during the encounter.
“A Shublime innings from man of the moment! Congratulations, @ShubmanGill, on powering India to a brilliant Test victory! @RishabhPant17, @klrahul, and @imjadeja batted very well, especially in the 2nd innings”, he wrote in his post.
“India’s approach was to take England out of this game and force them to play differently, making sure that there would only be 1 winner. What impressed me most about the bowlers was the length they bowled. Needless to say, Akash Deep was the standout bowler, and in my opinion, he bowled the ball of the series to Joe Root”, he further added.
With the victory in the second test, India have levelled the five-match series 1-1. Earlier, England won the opening game by five wickets. Both teams will now wrestle in the third test at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. The encounter will commence on July 10.
