Sahibzada Farhan is the leading run-scorer in T20 World Cup 2026.

Pakistan Cricket Team and Sri Lanka Cricket Team are squaring off in the Super 8 clash of T20 World Cup 2026. The SL vs PAK match got underway on February 28 at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele.

It is a crucial game for Pakistan as they need to crush Sri Lanka to be able to qualify for the semi-finals. Moreover, they also need to defeat them by at least 65 runs to leapfrog New Zealand in the Group 2 points table with a better Net Run Rate (NRR).

Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka won the toss and opted to field first. Opener Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman gave a marvellous start to the team’s batting, smacking runs at a run rate of over 10. Farhan also reached his half-century in the eighth over. Moreover, he also broke a crucial record of former Indian captain Virat Kohli.
