Sai Sudharsan hit a magnificent century in RCB vs GT clash of IPL 2026
Gujarat Titans (GT) are taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 34th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. The encounter is underway at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
RCB won the toss and opted to bowl first in the encounter. Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill opened the batting for GT and came up with a blistering performance. They etched an opening stand of 128 runs, before Gill lost his wicket for 32 runs.
Sudharsan, who scored a century in the clash, broke a big record of legendary batsman Chris Gayle in the clash. He became the quickest batsman to score 2000 runs in the IPL. He has reached the mark in 47 innings, while Gayle took 48 games.
He has also equalled Gayle’s record for scoring centuries in three consecutive seasons. He also scored a ton in the previous two seasons. Gayle scored three centuries in a row in 2011, 2012, and 2013.
