The Pakistan Cricket Team have suffered a massive blow ahead of their opening game of Asia Cup 2025 against Oman. As per the reports in Geo News, it is learned that skipper Salman Agha was spotted with a bandage on his neck after experiencing a mild spasm.
This comes ahead of Pakistan’s opening game against Oman in the Asia Cup 2025. In what will be the Group B clash, match four of the tournament will be played on Friday (12th September) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
The reports claimed that Salman Agha travelled with the team but didn’t take part in warm-ups and light football drills as the rest of the squad underwent a fitness routine. His injury, if serious, comes as a sign of worry for the team, as he will be a key player for the team in the entire tournament.

However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) denied all the concerns, saying that the issue is minor and precautionary in nature. Salman Agha is expected to resume training shortly, and the team management is confident that he will be there to lead the side in the Asia Cup 2025.
Salman Agha, who was recently appointed as the captain of Pakistan in the T20Is, has been doing a great job for his side. Not only a leader, he has also been handy with the bat and ball, scoring runs and picking wickets at crucial junctures.
Pakistan will be heading into Asia Cup 2025 on a high, as they won the UAE T20I Tri-series against the UAE and Afghanistan. What was impressive was that they came up with a sensational effort in the final against the Rashid Khan-led side, winning the game by a massive margin of over 70 runs.
Ahead of the tournament, Salman Agha said that his side is excited for the tournament as they are playing good cricket.
“I think we are playing good cricket, we started that a few months ago. Things are coming together, as a team we are playing good cricket and looking forward to this tournament and everyone is very excited,” Salman said in the pre-series press conference on Tuesday, September 9.
