Salman Agha said that Pakistan will try to defeat India in the final of Asia Cup 2025.

Pakistan Cricket Team skipper Salman Agha has fired a warning to the Indian Cricket Team ahead of the Asia Cup 2025 final. He boldly said that they are capable of defeating any team in the tournament as they eye taking their revenge of two defeats when they take on India in the final on September 28 (Sunday) in Dubai.

The Suryakumar Yadav & Co. are the red-hot favourites to win the title, following their unbeaten run in the tournament so far. The Men in Blue captured back-to-back victories against Pakistan and Bangladesh in the Super Four round to seal a spot in the final.

On the other hand, Pakistan crushed Bangladesh by 11 runs in a do-or-die clash on Thursday (September 25), to become the second finalists of the tournament. With a brilliant bowling show led by pacers Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf, the Men in Green defended their 135/8, winning by 11 runs.

We are a good enough team to beat anyone: Salman Agha

During the post-match presentation after match against Bangladesh, Pakistan skipper Agha said that they can defeat any team in the tournament and will try to beat India in the final on Sunday.

“If you win these kind of games, then we must be a special team. Everyone played really well. There is some improvement needed in batting. But we will work on that. Very excited. We know what we need to do, and we are a good enough team to beat anyone, and we will come on Sunday and try to beat them,” he said.

Agha also hailed Afridi by calling him a special player who helps the team in crunch moments. Afridi won Player of the Match award in the clash against Bangladesh, after picking a three-wicket haul and hitting crucial 19 runs with bat.

“Shaheen is a special player. He does what the team needs of him. Very happy for him. We were 15 runs short. The way we bowled up front, we will create pressure. We bowled well with the new ball. More often than not you will win games if you bowl like this,” Agha said.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will face a tough challenge against India in the final as the latter have already demolished them twice in the tournament. India outplayed Pakistan by seven wickets in the group stage and by six wickets in the Super Four round. Ahead of the final, the Men in Blue will play one more game against Sri Lanka on Friday, September 26.
