England all-rounder Sam Curran was seen pushing broadcast camera in ENG vs AFG clash.

England all-rounder Sam Curran was not in a good mood during his team’s ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 encounter against Afghanistan, which is being played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on October 15, 2023.

England won the toss, and Jos Buttler chose to bowl first. England came into this match unchanged.

He said: “We will bowl first. No particular reason, looks like a good wicket and we'll like to chase. We are going with an unchanged side. Looks like a good batting strip, South Africa and India posted big scores. I think we've improved a lot from the first to the second game, we just have to show the same intensity.”

On the other hand, Hashmatullah Shahidi revealed that Najibullah Zadran made way for Ikram Alikhil.

“We wanted to bowl first, but this is a 100-over game, we'll have to bat well. Looks like a batting pitch, expecting the same conditions like the last game. Hopeful of doing well and putting pressure on them. We've good spin options and anything around 300 should be a good score. One change, Najib is not playing, Ikram replaces him,” Shahidi said.

Sam Curran pushes away the broadcast camera while fielding at boundary after Afghanistan get off to a flying start

Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran went after England bowlers from the start. While Zadran was a bit cautious and played the anchor role, scoring 28 in 48 balls, Gurbaz was in fourth gear from the start.

He spared no bowler and hammered four sixes and eight fours in his 57-balls 80-run knock for Afghanistan. The batting side added 114 runs for the first wicket in just 16.4 overs.

One of the bowlers who went for runs was Sam Curran. He gave up 26 runs in his two overs and was hit for three fours and one six in his 12 balls. This was not a good start for the young all-rounder at all, and he was frustrated as well.

While fielding at the boundary, when the broadcast camera capturing the action came near him, Curran first got a bit startled and then pushed it away with his hand, muttering something.
