Harry Brook was back in the hut after slamming 23 runs off 19 balls.

Former Sri Lanka cricketer Kumar Sangakkara lashed out at the England Cricket Team batter Harry Brook for his poor innings in the ongoing third game against the Indian Cricket Team. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.

In the second innings of the ongoing test, England have been put under massive pressure. With scores getting levelled in the first innings, it was expected that the hosts would come up with a solid effort with the bat.

But that wasn’t the case as they lost early wickets with Indian bowlers being at the top. As his team lost early wickets, Harry Brook tried to counter-attack the bowlers. He took Akash Deep for cleaners, slamming him for two boundaries and a six.

However, in the next over, Akash Deep came up with a solid reply. Harry Brook tried to premeditatedly sweep the pacer, but the latter came up with a better plan as he bowled a pitched-up delivery at the stumps.

Harry scored 15 runs against Akash Deep and then played a silly shot — that’s arrogance – Kumar Sangakkara

Brook bent across to sweep and was bowled behind his legs as the ball sneaked through to crash into middle. Him getting out in a way, made Kumar Sangakkara fume as he called the England batter arrogant.

Speaking on air, he said: “It is just arrogance. Not even Bazball. Harry scored 15 runs against Akash Deep and then played a silly shot — that’s arrogance.”

Harry Brook was back in the hut after slamming 23 runs off 19 balls. The premier batter slammed four boundaries and one six during his stay at the crease. With his wicket, England lost their fourth wicket for just 87 runs.

After the wicket of Harry Brook, Joe Root and skipper Ben Stokes have looked solid with the bat. They would be keen to pile up a massive total and take the game out of India’s reach.
