Vaibhav Suryavanshi mustered 252 runs at an average of 36.00 and a strike rate of over 206.55 in IPL 2025.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) skipper Sanju Samson lauded young 14-year-old batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi for his heroics with the bat in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. He also claimed that the opening batter used his bat to slam the second-fastest ton in the league.

The IPL gave another young talent to the country in Vaibhav Suryavanshi as the RR batter set the stage on fire with his brutal batting in the 2025 season. He came into the scene when Sanju Samson got injured, and he was presented with the opportunity to open the innings, which he cashed in with both hands.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s best came in the game against Gujarat Titans (GT) when he slammed a scintillating century. The opening batter hit century in just 35 balls, which is fastest by an Indian batter in the league. He ended up playing an innings of 101 runs off 38 balls.

Very happy that he played with it and something great happened here – Sanju Samson on Vaibhav Suryavanshi

Sanju Samson, while talking about Vaibhav Suryavanshi, said that the young batter wanted a bat from him right from the start of the season. He stressed that he gave him one of his best bats, with which the youngster did a special thing. Speaking in a video shared by RR, he said:

“He is known for collecting bats from the first day he came here, so I could feel that how he is wanting a bat. And he used to hang around my bat and my kit bag for a long time, and I could feel that he needs not one, maybe a couple of bats from my bag.”

“So, I wanted to give him one and I gave him a really good bat at the start of the season, so that he could prepare and then get used to it. And then I think, year, very happy that he played with it and something great happened here.”

Suryavanshi played a vital role for the RR in the IPL 2025. He played seven games and mustered 252 runs at an average of 36.00 and a strike rate of over 206.55.
