Sanju Samson will expect to get an opportunity against the Netherlands as India look to close out Group A with a victory. Samson made his T20 World Cup debut under unexpected circumstances against Namibia as he replaced Abhishek Sharma due to stomach issues. 

The reigning champions and top-ranked T20I team in the world, India, have dominated their group stage thus far. With victories over USA, Namibia, and Pakistan, they qualified for the Super 8 with an undefeated record.

Though India look ruthless on the field, the team has faced fitness issues off the field. Jasprit Bumrah and Abhishek Sharma missed games due fitness and illness issues. With IND vs UAE being the last group game for them, India might look to test their bench strength as the competition goes into crucial stages.

Sanju Samson replaced Abhishek Sharma against Namibia, providing a blistering start as he scored 22 off just 8 deliveries. Though his stay was short lived, Samson hit 3 sixes and 1 four scoring at a strike rate of 275. Samson was dropped back to the bench against Pakistan following the return of Sharma.

Abhisek, himself, has failed to live up to the expectations, having 2 ducks to his name in the 2 matches. In between, Sharma struggled with stomach issues. But, despite that, Abhishek is expected to continue as management would want him to regain his form. This means that Samson is likely to warm bench in IND vs NED clash.

With the Super 8 qualification already secured, it will be crucial for India to finish the group stage on a high. It remains to be seen whether India make changes or go unchanged in their final group matches.

On the other hand, Netherlands will look to end their campaign with a strong performance as they are already out of the T20 World Cup. They will also look to give a chance to their bench players.
