IND vs ENG: Sarfaraz Khan breaks silence after earning maiden India test call-up

Sarfaraz Khan won “Man of the match” award in the recently concluded 2nd unofficial test against England Lions.
Team India will be looking to leave behind the disappointment of the Hyderabad test in the upcoming test in Vishakapatnam. England defeated India by 28 runs in the first test of five-match test series. India are not only dealing with a blow of loss in the first test, but also with a blow of missing senior players Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul, who have been ruled out of the second test due to respective injuries. BCCI decided to add Sarfaraz Khan, Sourabh Kumar and Washington Sundar to the squad for the second test match in Visakhapatnam.
After finally getting his maiden call into the Indian test side, Sarfaraz Khan took it to social media platform Instagram to react to his maiden international call-up for India. Along with Sarfaraz, his Mumbai teammate Suryakumar Yadav and Sarfaraz’s father Naushad Khan also reacted on his inclusion in the test squad. Sarfaraz is likely to make his test debut in the second test against England which will start on 2nd February in Visakhapatnam.
Sarfaraz Khan’s first reaction after maiden India call-up
Suryakumar Yadav posted an Instagram story congratulating Sarfaraz Khan and wrote, “Maiden Indian call. Utsav Ki Taiyari Karo (get ready for a festival like celebration).” After a few hours, Sarfaraz Khan also reposted his Mumbai teammate’s Instagram story. Sarfaraz Khan also added a picture of himself with his father Naushad Khan who was a constant support for his son throughout his cricket career.

Naushad Khan also congratulated Sarfaraz for his selection and thanked everyone for support. Sarfaraz Khan’s father said, “I want to thank everyone, especially Mumbai Cricket Association where he grew up. Also, the National Cricket Academy where he got experience, BCCI and the selectors for trusting in him, and all his fans who prayed for him and supported him.”

Uttar Pradesh all-rounder Sourabh Kumar also has been added to the Indian squad for the second test along with Washington Sundar. India will be looking to make a solid comeback in the second test at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. England are currently leading the five-match test series 1-0.
