"Scared of RCB fans.." Avesh Khan's hilarious comment after joining RR camp ahead of IPL 2024

Avesh Khan was traded from Lucknow Super Giants to Rajasthan Royals before IPL 2024 auction.
Indian fast bowler Avesh Khan shared some lighthearted moments after joining his new team Rajasthan Royals (RR) ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. Khan was previously part of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). In a latest video uploaded on RR’s official social media handles, he made a hilarious comment expressing him fearing RCB fans.
Avesh joined the Rajasthan-based franchise from LSG in a straight trade deal, with the Super Giants getting Devdutt Padkikkal ahead of the 2024 mini-auction. The speedster was traded for Rs 10 crores to the IPL 2008 champions RR.
The right-arm speedster struggled throughout the IPL 2023 with the ball. Avesh bagged just eight wickets at an average 35.38 and economy rate of 9.76 in nine matches he played for LSG.
However, not because of his bowling, but for his batting and his celebration, Avesh made it to the headlines following LSG’s clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL 2023 in Bengaluru.
In match 15 of the tournament, LSG defeated RCB by just one wicket in a thriller of a game in Bengaluru. Avesh was at the crease alongside Ravi Bishnoi when they took the winning run. After winning the game, Avesh went on to celebrate aggressively and even threw his helmet like he finished off the match on his own.
“Scared of RCB fans..:” Avesh Khan said after joining RR camp for IPL 2024 season
In the latest video uploaded on Royals’ official social media handle ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), the RR pacer was seen playing a game just like KBC, where Avesh was answering a few questions.
In the last question of the game it was asked – Who are you most scared of? No ball? White ball? Full toss? Or RCB fans? to which Avesh Khan replied – he was scared of RCB fans.

After throwing his helmet on the ground, Avesh expressed his thoughts that he regretted that gesture after taking the winning run in the last ball. In an interview with Indian Express, the former LSG pacer said, “Yeh Social Media me mera mahaul bana rehta hai and helmet incident thoda jyada ho gya tha. (My presence remains in Social Media, and That helmet throwing incident was a bit far)”.
“I realised later that I shouldn’t have done this. It just happened in the heat of the moment. I now feel sad that yaar yeh sab cheez karna tha (Shouldn’t have done that),” he added.
