ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 schedule announced; India vs Pakistan on 14 June

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will take place in England and Wales.
The complete schedule for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 has been announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday, February 24. The tournament will be hosted by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and will witness a clash among 12 teams for the title.
ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will commence on June 12 with the opening game between hosts England Women and Sri Lanka Women at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
The tournament will conclude with the final on July 5 at Lord’s. The India Women vs Pakistan Women encounter will be played on June 14 at Edgbaston.
All 12 teams are divided into two groups of six teams each. Each team will play five games in the first round – one against each of the other teams in their pool. The top two teams from each group after the conclusion of the league stage will qualify for the semi-finals.

India Women are placed in Group A in the tournament, alongside Netherlands, Australia, Bangladesh, South Africa, and Pakistan.
After their opening game against Pakistan on June 14, they will clash with Netherlands and South Africa on June 17 and June 21 respectively. Their last two matches of the league stage are against Bangladesh on June 25 and Australia on June 28.
India, who will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur, will aim for their first-ever trophy in the Women’s T20 World Cup. Their best show came in the 2020 edition, when they ended as runners-up after losing the final against Australia.
New Zealand Women are the defending champions of the tournament, who defeated South Africa in the final of the previous edition in 2024 in Dubai.
