Shakib Al Hasan jokingly threatened to time out Pakistan batter Abrar Ahmed during the second test in Rawalpindi.

The second test match between hosts Pakistan and Bangladesh in Rawalpindi saw a funny moment when Pakistan batter Abrar Ahmed was seen rushing towards the crease in fear of getting timed out as bowler Shakib Al Hasan jokingly threatened him.

The funny incident happened on day 4 of the ongoing second test between the both sides in Rawalpindi when Abrar came out to bat at No. 10 during hosts’ second innings after the dismissal of Mohammad Ali.

As Abrar was running towards the crease to avoid being timed-out, he even lost one of his gloves on his way to the crease, which left Shakib Al Hasan in splits.

Bangladesh on verge of winning first test series against Pakistan

In the ongoing second test, hosts made 274 runs in their first innings. In reply, Bangladesh were reeling at 26/6 at one point, but Mehidy Hasan Miraz’s 78 and wicket-keeper batter Liton Das’ stunning knock of 138 runs helped visitors to post 262 runs in their first innings.

The hosts were bundled out for 172 runs in their second innings, setting a target of 185 runs for the visitors.

At the time of writing, the visitors are positioned comfortably at 147/3 in 406.2 overs with just 38 runs needed to win the second test match in Rawalpindi.

It is to be noted that Bangladesh crushed Pakistan in the opening fixture in Rawalpindi by 10 wickets and are on the verge of winning the first ever test series against Pakistan.
