Ishan Kishan (54) made another impactful contribution with his quick-fire half-century. In the end, Shivam Dube added an unbeaten 26* off 8 balls to give a perfect finish to India’s batting. The Suryakumar Yadav & Co. crossed the 250-run mark for the second consecutive time in the tournament, having posted 253/7 against England in the semi-final.

After delivering a brilliant performance with the bat, Dube faced an injury scare in the second innings of IND vs NZ clash. While attempting a catch of Finn Allen in the first over, he sustained a minor issue and had to leave the field.
On-air commentator Ian Bishop confirmed that the Indian all-rounder left the field due to an injury scare. He was replaced by Rinku Singh as a substitute fielder. The nature of Dube’s injury is yet to be known, but it appears to be nothing serious.
Dube has played quite a few valuable innings for India in T20 World Cup 2026. He has been one of the major reasons behind India reaching the final. The team management would be hoping that his injury isn’t a serious one and he returns to field as soon as possible.
After the T20 World Cup 2026, Dube will be seen playing the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, where he will represent Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Just like here, he will hold key for his franchise in the tournament, which is all set to begin on March 28.
