Shoriful Islam dismissed Reeza Hendricks to provide Bangladesh first breakthrough vs SA in Mumbai.

The game between South Africa and Bangladesh is currently underway at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. This is the same venue where South Africa scored a massive target of 399 against England a few days ago. It is an important game for both teams, as both are fighting for a place in the semi-finals. Bangladesh have won just one game out of the four they have played.

Bangladesh needs this win badly. On the other hand, South Africa have won three games, and are third in the points table with six points, and have the best NRR in this competition. The game started with South Africa winning the toss and electing to bat first, as they did against England. But South Africa didn't have a great start to their innings.

South Africa got off to a decent start, with both openers looking good for a big score. But Shoriful Islam provided Bangladesh with its first break-through in the 7th over of the innings and bowled a peach of a delivery to opener Reeza Hendricks that crashed onto the stumps. It was the first ball of the 7th over, and Shoriful Islam bowled a full delivery that swung in to hit the stumps.

The batter looked clueless, and it went between his bat and pad. Hendricks got out after scoring 12 runs. It was a big wicket because he played a brilliant innings of 85 runs off 75 balls against England. But today, he couldn't do much and got out cheaply. His wicket was followed by another wicket of Rassie van der Dussen.

He was dismissed by Mehidy Hasan Miraz for one run in the 8th over. South Africa were 36/2 in 7.5 overs. But Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram have brought the innings back on track with a 50-runs stand for the third wicket. Temba Bavuma missed consecutive games while Shakib Al Hasan was back leading Bangladesh.
