The day-night concept in test cricket was launched in 2015.

Day-night tests were launched by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2015 with the aim of increasing viewership and excitement in the longest format of the game.

The day-night tests are played with a pink ball, unlike the traditional red ball for better visibility. What makes the pink ball harder to face is the extra lateral movement it gets in the evening. This added advantage for bowlers has helped teams bowl out the opposition quicker than expected.

Most often, the day-night tests haven’t lasted for five days and till now, not a single day-night test has ended in a draw. On that note, let’s take a look at the top five shortest completed day-night matches in test cricket.
