Shreyas Iyer won "Best Fielder" medal after IND vs NZ game in Dharamsala.
It was yet another win for Team India in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. They have beaten New Zealand by 4 wickets and have moved to the top of the points table. It was a good effort in the bowling and batting departments, but there were three drop catches during the game by the Indian team. However, there were a few good fielding efforts as well.
As a result, India carried on the procedure of rewarding the best fielder, as they do after every game. But this time, the fielding coach, T. Dilip, made the best use of the resources available. Though it was pretty hard to finalize the best fielder as India didn't have a great day in the field, Shreyas Iyer grabbed a stunner to dismiss Devon Conway.

After the game, Indian fielding coach T. Dilip addressed the team in the dressing room. Dilip lauded the fielding effort made by the Indian players despite some drop catches. He lauded Mohammed Siraj, who had a brilliant day in the field and made some brilliant saves, and also heaped praise on Virat Kohli as a fielder. Finally, he used the spidercam to announce Shreyas Iyer as the winner.
The fielding coach asked the team to come to the ground and used the spidercam that flew down from heights and had the medal and player's photo hanging with it. It was the photo of Shreyas Iyer hanging with it that made the moment more thrilling, and everyone came to join.
