ENG vs IND: Shubman Gill becomes the first Indian, overall fifth batter to score 400+ runs in a test match

Indian Cricket Team skipper Shubman Gill has achieved a massive feat in the history of test cricket. The right-hander has become the first Indian batter to score over 400 runs in a single game in the longest format of the game.
Shubman Gill achieved the feat in the second innings of the ongoing second test of the five-match series against the England Cricket Team. The game between the two teams is taking place at Edgbaston in Birmingham, which has seen the Indian captain shatter a plethora of records.
Ever since he has been appointed as the test captain of the team, Shubman Gill has looked like a different beast altogether. After hitting 147 in the first test at Headingley, he took his batting to a different level in the ongoing second match of the series.
Shubman Gill played his best test innings in the first essay of the match as he slammed 269 runs, registering the highest individual score by an Indian captain. His brilliant show with the bat saw India posting a massive total of 587 runs on the board.

If this was not enough, Shubman Gill came up with another staggering show with the bat in the second innings. The skipper led from the front yet again and hammered another century, allowing India to take a massive lead of over 550 runs.
Shubman Gill hit his third century of the series and ended up playing an innings of 161 runs off 162 balls. The skipper slammed 13 fours and eight sixes during his stay at the crease as India took their second innings total over 400 runs.
With his twin centuries, Gill became the first Indian batter to go past 400 runs in a test match. He mustered 430 runs, which is overall the second highest by any batter in the history of test cricket. Overall, he is just the fifth batter to score 400+ runs in a test match.
