ENG vs IND: Shubman Gill scripts history! becomes the first Indian Captain to achieve this huge feat

Shubman Gill became the first batter to go past 300 runs in the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
Indian Cricket Team skipper Shubman Gill has achieved a massive feat in the history of test cricket. He became the first-ever Indian captain to score 300+ runs in an overseas test series at the age of 25.
Shubman Gill achieved the feat in the ongoing second game of the five-match series between the England Cricket Team and the Indian Cricket Team. The game between the two teams is taking place at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
Shubman Gill has made a solid start to the ongoing India’s tour of England 2025. After taking the role of the captain, he has become a different beast altogether and has shown a red-hot form in the two games that he has played so far in the series.
Shubman Gill started the series on a dominating note as he played a magnificent innings in the first game, which took place at Headingley in Leeds. The captain slammed 147 runs in the first innings and made a decent contribution in the second innings.
However, he made sure that he came up with an even better effort in the ongoing second test at Edgbaston. The new number four for India slammed his second ton of the series and was batting at an unbeaten 165 runs at the time of writing this piece.
Shubman Gill surpasses 300 runs in the test against England
With his brilliant innings, Shubman Gill surpassed 300 runs in the series. He became the first batter in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 to go past the landmark. He also became the first Indian captain to score 300+ runs in an overseas test series at the age of 25.
Not only this, Shubman Gill also became the second Indian captain to score 150 against England in England. He is also the second youngest Indian player after Sachin Tendulkar to score 150 in tests in England.
