Shubman Gill won’t participate in Duleep Trophy 2025-26 if he makes it to India’s Asia Cup 2025 squad.

The North Zone team for the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2025-26 was announced on Wednesday, 7th August. Shubman Gill has been named as skipper of the side. However, if he is picked in India’s squad for Asia Cup 2025, he will be replaced by Services player Shubham Rohilla in the North Zone squad.

Duleep Trophy 2025-26 will commence on August 28 and will conclude on September 15. Asia Cup 2025 will start on September 9 in UAE. Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana, who play for India, also have been named in the North Zone squad.

However, the replacements are ready for North Zone if Gill, Arshdeep and Rana are selected in India squad for Asia Cup 2025. Gurnoor Brar (Punjab) will replace Arshdeep, while Anuj Thakral (Haryana) will replace Rana. There are also seven stand-by players named in North Zone squad for the tournament.
