"Overhyped"- Fans go hard at Shubman Gill for having "Prince' tag on his bat for England tests

Shubman Gill was appointed as the test captain of India after Rohit Sharma called time on his career in the longest format.
Indian Cricket Team batter Shubman Gill is all set to start a new chapter in his career. The right-hander will lead the team for the first time in the longest format of the game as India will be locking horns with the England Cricket Team in the five-match test series.
The test series between England and India is all set to kick start on 20th June at Headingley in Leeds and will conclude at the Kia Oval in London. The series will also mark the start of the new edition of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27.
The test series against England will also mark the beginning of a new era in Indian cricket. With the retirements of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, India will have a young team led by Shubman Gill, and the series will surely mark a transition phase for the country in the test format.
The Indian Cricket Team recently reached England for the preparations. The Shubman Gill-led side is putting in hard yards and is making sure that they leave no stone unturned in the build-up for the series, giving their best in batting, bowling and fielding sessions.
The Indian Cricket Team also recently underwent a photo session for the series. Captain Shubman Gill took the spotlight as he struck different poses. But what caught the attention of many was his bat as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared the pictures on social media.
The word ‘Prince’ could be seen written alongside the MRF logo on the bat. Notably, Gill is called as the Prince of Indian cricket while Virat Kohli is rated as the King of Cricket.
