Shubman Gill reveals why he used number '77' on his jersey

Notably, Shubman Gill has been wearing the "77" number jersey since the U-19 days, when he played for India U-19. Recently, in a chat on Star Sports, the 24-years-old star revealed how he got the "77" number jersey. He revealed that his lucky number was 7, but when he made his first appearance for U-19 Indian cricket team, that number was not available.
Hence, he picked a double 7 as his jersey number. He also revealed that his favourite cricketer is Virat Kohli, and his idol from a very young age was Sachin Tendulkar. He also picked up Ishan Kishan as his best mate in the current Indian team and revealed that his nickname is "kaka."
