Shubman Gill remained unbeaten at 114 at stumps on day two of the Edgbaston test.

Indian Cricket Team captain Shubman Gill has continued his golden form with the bat as he played a sensational innings in the ongoing second test against the England Cricket Team. The match between the teams is taking place at Edgbaston in Birmingham. 

Shubman Gill has taken the role of the captain brilliantly as he notched up his second ton of the series. After hammering a mammoth knock of 147 runs in the first game at Headingly in Leeds, the captain has oozed his class with the bat in the ongoing second game as well.

Shubman Gill walked out to bat after India lost Karun Nair (31) at the stroke of lunch. With the team losing two wickets under the 100-run mark, the skipper soaked in all the pressure and made sure that he put his team in a dominating position at the end of day one 

In what was an absolute contrast to his aggressive 147 in Leeds, the right-hander took his time and played a perfect test innings. Gill looked very focused right from the start as he hardly put a foot wrong in his innings. 

Shubman Gill first hit a solid fifty and then made sure he converted it into a stupendous ton. The captain registered his second ton of the series and seventh overall as he ended the day with an unbeaten 114, slamming 14 fours. His innings took India to 310/5 at stumps on day one.
