ENG vs IND: Shubman Gill provides crucial injury update on Rishabh Pant after the Lord's test

Indian Cricket Team skipper Shubman Gill provided a massive injury update on wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant after the third test against the England Cricket Team. He confirmed that the keeper-batter is fine and will be fit for the next game of the five-match series.
The Indian Cricket Team faced a massive injury scare in the third game of the series against the England Cricket Team at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. On the first day of the game, Rishabh Pant was struck on his left index finger while keeping against Jasprit Bumrah’s delivery.
The blow looked serious as Rishabh Pant was taken off the field, and in his place, Dhruv Jurel walked out as substitute keeper. Pant didn’t return to take the gloves but batted in both innings; however, the pain was evident on his face.
Rishabh Pant took painkillers in the first innings and played a magnificent innings, scoring 74 runs. But in the second innings, he looked in pain while batting and that potentially was one of the major reasons why he couldn’t score big in the chase.

As the Lord’s test ended, skipper Shubman Gill shared an update on the vice-captain Rishabh Pant. He said that the keeper-batter went for scans, which revealed that there was nothing serious. He stressed that the keeper-batter will be fit for the next game.
Speaking to reporters, he said: “Rishabh went for scans and there’s no major injury there so he should be fine for the next test.”
Coming to the Lord’s test, India went on to face a disappointing 22-run loss. On day five, they needed 135 runs to win, and they had a terrible start to the day, losing wickets in clusters. Ravindra Jadeja (61*) gave his best and got great support from Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj.
Both Bumrah and Siraj played over 80 balls combined. But, it wasn’t meant to be as India got all out for 170, losing the game by 22 runs. The five-match series is now in favour of England, who are 2-1 ahead.
