Sikandar Raza achieved the feat after heroics in recent ODI series against Sri Lanka.

Zimbabwe player Sikandar Raza has become the No.1 all-rounder in ODIs in the latest rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC). He achieved the feat after back-to-back impressive performances in the recent ODI series against Sri Lanka.

In the opening ODI, Raza picked one wicket and scored a 92-run knock. In the second ODI, he slammed an unbeaten 59 runs. However, Sri Lanka won both encounters and claimed a 2-0 whitewash in the series.

In the first ODI, the visitors piled up 298/6 in the first innings. Later, they restricted the hosts to 291/8 to win the clash by just seven runs. In the second ODI, Zimbabwe piled up 277/7 in the first innings. However, Sri Lanka chased down the target by five wickets.

Sikandar Raza replaces Azmatullah Omarzai from the top spot

Notably, Raza has replaced Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai from the top spot in ICC rankings for ODI all-rounders. He has 302 rating points. Omarzai has dropped to the second spot with 296 points.

Omarzai is followed by teammate Mohammad Nabi in third spot with 292 rating points. After his half-centuries in both games, Raza has jumped nine spots in ODI batting rankings as well and now occupies the 22nd spot. Notably, Sri Lanka opener Pathum Nissanka has moved seven spots to 13th in the latest ODI batting rankings. He scored a century and a half-century against Zimbabwe.

In ODI bowling rankings, Sri Lanka’s Janith Liyanage has jumped 13 spots to enjoy 29th place. Asitha Fernando has earned six spots to take the 31st spot. Meanwhile, India’s Shubman Gill is the top-ranked ODI batter while South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj is the No.1 ODI bowler.
