Smriti Mandhana is the only Indian in the top 10 batting rankings in women’s ODI cricket.
In the latest rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC), India’s Smriti Mandhana has captured the top spot in women’s ODI batting rankings. The left-handed batter has 727 rating points in her kitty and has reached the top spot for the first time since 2019.
South Africa‘s Laura Wolvaardt, who earlier held the top spot, has dropped to the second spot after losing 17 ratings points. She shares the second spot with England’s Natalie Sciver-Brunt, who also accounts for an equal number of rating points. England’s Amy Jones and Australia’s Ellyse Perry grab the fourth and fifth spots respectively.
Mandhana has shown a wonderful form in ODIs this year so far, hitting 513 runs across eight games at an average of 64.12. She also slammed two centuries and two of half-centuries this year. She smacked a century against Ireland in January this year and another ton against Sri Lanka last month during a tri-series.

Smriti Mandhana only Indian player among the top 10 batters in ICC rankings
Notably, Mandhana is the only Indian batter amongst the top 10 ranked batters in women’s ODI cricket. The next Indian batters are Jemimah Rodrigues at the 15th rank and Harmanpreet Kaur at the 16th spot.
There are no changes to ICC’s Women’s bowling rankings in ODIs, and England’s Sophie Ecclestone continues to steal the top spot with 747 rating points. Australia’s Ash Gardner and Megan Schutt follow her in the second and third spots respectively.
India’s Deepti Sharma stays in the fourth spot and is the only Indian bowler among the top 10 bowlers. Australia’s Kim Garth holds the fifth spot.
Similarly, the ICC rankings for women’s ODI all-rounders remain the same with Australia’s Ash Gardner at the top with 470 rating points. Hayley Matthews from West Indies and Marizanne Kapp from South Africa grab the second and third spots respectively. India’s Deepti Sharma is ranked fourth, while New Zealand’s Amelia Kerr captures the fifth spot.
