Amidst an incredible run of form during India’s home ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 campaign, star Indian batter Smriti Mandhana has solidified her place as the world’s best batter in Women’s ODI cricket. She has attained her career-best ratings in ICC women’s ODI batting rankings.
The accomplishment adds to the Indian opener’s incredible year. In September 2025, she was voted ICC Women’s Player of the Month for her exceptional exploits in the ODI series against Australia before the World Cup.
Mandhana, who is also the vice-captain of the Indian team, extended her lead at the top of the ICC tankings with a career-best rating of 828 thanks to scores of 109 against New Zealand and an undefeated 34 against Bangladesh.

Ash Gardner of Australia (731), who moved up six spots following her undefeated century versus England, is now almost 100 points behind Mandhana. South African skipper Laura Wolvaardt also gets into the top three, up two slots, thanks to innings of 90 and 31.
Amy Jones of England, meanwhile, enters the top ten after climbing four ranks to ninth (656), while Annabel Sutherland made the biggest move of those in the top 40, rising 16 places to 16th (613).
Pratika Rawal moves into the top 30; Sophie Ecclestone reigns supreme at No. 1 in ICC women’s ODI bowling rankings

India opener Pratika Rawal, who will miss the rest of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 after suffering a hairline fracture to her right ankle, moves into the top 30 (27th) with a rating of 564. She became the joint-fastest to 1,000 runs in ODI cricket, reaching the mark in her 23rd match. She also had amazing success in the ongoing ICC event, scoring 75 against Australia and 122 against New Zealand.
Sophie Ecclestone is still far ahead in the ICC Women’s ODI bowling rankings (747), but leg-spinner Alana King, who recently claimed seven wickets against South Africa, is a new competitor.
With a career-high rating of 698, King advances five spots, surpassing teammate Ash Gardner, who was compelled to fall to third place (689). Fast bowlers Marizanne Kapp and Annabel Sutherland both make one-spot climbs to fourth and seventh, respectively.
Pakistan’s Nashra Sundhu slips into a tie for tenth place with fellow left-arm orthodox spinner Nonkululeko Mlaba (610).
