SRH name THIS Sri Lankan pacer as Brydon Carse's replacement for IPL 2026

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have missed the services of their star pacer Pat Cummins since the start of the Indian Premier League 2026. Cummins has been recovering from a back injury and has yet to play his first game for SRH.
In Cummins’ absence, Ishan Kishan is captaining the Sunrisers in IPL 2026. Now, they have suffered a big blow as pacer Brydon Carse has been ruled out of the tournament. The England pacer sustained a hand injury just ahead of the tournament during training sessions.
As a result, he could not feature in any games as SRH waited for his recovery. In his absence, David Payne got opportunities in the playing XI. Now Carse has been ruled out of the tournament, and another star fast bowler has been included in his place.
SRH named Dilshan Madushanka as Brydon Carse’s replacement

SRH have named Sri Lankan pacer Dilshan Madushanka as the replacement for Carse in IPL 2026. Madushanka will make his debut in IPL 2026.
The left-arm pacer was picked by Mumbai Indians (MI) in IPL 2024 for INR 4.6 crore. However, he was ruled out of the entire season due to a hamstring injury and was replaced by Kwena Maphaka. He went unsold in the IPL 2025 auction.
He has been picked for INR 75 lakh by SRH. He will join his fellow Sri Lankan teammate Eshan Malinga in the SRH squad. They also await the return of pacer Pat Cummins in the tournament.
Meanwhile, SRH have won two games and lost three out of five so far. They will next face Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 18 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
