Andy Flower recently parted ways with IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants.

Andy Flower, who recently parted ways with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) after his two-year contract was not renewed, reportedly might join Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) or Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the same capacity as both franchise managements are reportedly on the lookout for a new head coach after their respective poor performances in IPL 2023.

SRH finished at the bottom place with 4 wins in 14 matches despite having a new captain in Aiden Markram and a new head coach in Brian Lara. Reports from Cricbuzz have suggested that SRH management was not happy with West Indian great’s coaching style.

Reports have also suggested that Flower, who has an excellent record as a coach, is also being wooed by Rajasthan Royals for the head coach role. Rajasthan Royals failed to qualify for the playoffs in a see-saw season for them under the guidance of the director of cricket and head coach Kumar Sangakkara.

Flower boasts an impressive track record in various franchise leagues, having led St. Lucia Zouks to the runners-up position in the CPL (2020) and secured titles for Multan Sultans (2021) and Gulf Giants (2022) in the PSL and ILT20 (2023) respectively. Notably, under Flower's guidance, LSG reached the playoffs in both 2022 and 2023, demonstrating his continued desirability as a coach in the IPL.

Royal Challengers Bangalore mum on reports of parting ways with Mike Hesson and Sanjay Bangar

On the other hand, the same reports from Cricbuzz stated that the management of Royal Challengers Bangalore have remained silent regarding reports of potential changes to their coaching staff, which include parting ways with their director of cricket, Mike Hesson, and coach Sanjay Bangar.

The team claims that they have not yet started an investigation of how they performed in the 2023 season, which resulted in them missing the playoffs.

Hesson and Bangar became part of the RCB management in 2019 and it must be mentioned that Hesson has his contract till August 31 and Bangar's deal with the franchise runs till December 31.

After RCB failed to make it into the final four in two consecutive seasons, they made it into the playoffs three straight times.
